ANGELS ON WHEELS
We’d
like to form a long list of women (and men) who are willing to help
provide meals, transportation or other forms of needed assistance to
those in our church family who are struggling with health concerns or
family deaths. This ministry is a very practical way to show the
love of Christ to an individual or family.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER CHAIN
Together, this group of women will learn through practical teaching and
hands on application, to develop a biblical approach to intercessory
prayer. Corporate prayer settings, prayer chains, emergency and
intercessory prayer groups, along with prayer walks (locally and visits
to our State Capitol), will be just some of our targeted methods of
ministry. For more information, please contact us.
LOVE LINKS
Love Link is devoted to encouraging the widow’s of Brightmoor Christian Church. “Thinking of You” cards and Birthday cards are sent out regularly to these lovely
ladies. Fellowship is enjoyed at a number of luncheons each
year. The Lord requires us to honor, visit and care for the
widows among us. Join us as we minister to these ladies who are
so easy to love and serve.

PRISON MINISTRY
Throughout the year, women of Brightmoor take the gospel to women
inmates – helping them discover the love of Jesus Christ.
Outreach Volunteers mentor on a one-to-one basis through personal
visits, listening, sharing, and prayer. Bible Study Leaders
conduct a small group topical study every other month with select
inmates. These activities are conducted at the Robert Scott
Correctional Facility in Plymouth, Michigan. Training and
background check are required for this ministry. Opportunities to
be a pen pal are also available with no training or background check
required.
LIFE CHALLENGE PEN PAL
Life Challenge of Southeast Michigan is a one-year Christian-growth
program providing residential care for men and women with alcohol,
drug, and other life controlling problems. Brightmoor women are
partnered with the women enrolled in the program to uplift and
encourage them through letter writing and cards during their season of
change. For more information please contact the WM office.

Missionaries Steve and Kim Puffpaff
Assemblies of God missionaries Steve and Kim Puffpaff are located in
Jamaica, where they operate an orphanage for young boys and
girls. While providing the children with food and shelter, they
also minister to them by bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to these
beautiful little ones. WM has supported the Puffpaff family for
well over 8 years. During one of the hurricanes that devastated
their area, WM sent a Love and Care Offering of $500.00 from the
proceeds of one of our water and snack sales. We send birthday
and anniversary cards, as well as support them in prayer. WM encourages
the support of all BCC missionaries through letters, emails and care
packages.
HILLCREST CHILDREN'S HOME
Hillcrest Children’s Home is an Assembly of God Benevolences Ministry
located in Hot Springs, Arizona. Women’s Ministries currently
supports our “adopted” little girl named Meghan. We have
sponsored her for the last 5 years through letters, birthday presents,
Christmas gifts, as well as school clothing and supplies; while she in
turn sends us thank you cards and letters. What a blessing it has
been to see how she has grown and matured over the years. We
would love to expand this ministry in the future.

CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTER OUTREACH
Another Way Pregnancy Center is a non-denominational Christian ministry, which offers emotional,
practical, and spiritual assistance to women facing unplanned
pregnancies. WM‘s currently partners with A.W.P.C. through our
crisis prayer chain as emergency needs arise at the center. We have
seen many miraculous answers to prayer throughout the last few years as
women have opted to carry their babies to term. Whether the mother
keeps her infant or gives the baby up for adoption, Another Way
Pregnancy Center stands by and continues to support the mothers after
the birth with practical needs such as food, clothing and baby
equipment. They also counsel and conduct Bible studies as a way
of discipleship program. Women’s Ministries also supports the clinics
operational needs through clothing drives and the Wee Bottle Program “Giving Change to Make a Change”. There are additional opportunities to be a blessing to this worthwhile program.

SPECIAL EVENTS MINISTRY
Special
events within WM are events that take place outside of the normal
happenings within this ministry. These may include women's
conferences, banquets, praise and worship nights, ladies expo, shopping
trips, overnighters, girl’s night out and movie nights with popcorn and
chocolate!! For these events to take place, a team of women come
together to help carry out the needed tasks. Such tasks could be:
decorating, set up/clean up, planning, working a registration table,
stuffing envelopes, sales table, greeting at doors, passing out
flyers. In the past WM’s have co-hosted various conferences such
as, Joyce Meyers & Anne Graham Lotz and the list goes on and on. In
February of ’07 WM’s will be a host ministry for Beth Moore live at the
Cobo Hall Convention. If you would like to be a part of helping in this
area of Women's Ministries, please let us know.

HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
The
hospitality department of Women's Ministries provides hospitality for
many events. We may provide a continental breakfast, food, or
refreshments at various WM events. We also provide food, refreshments
and decoration for many church events such as an all-church dinner,
welcome or going away celebrations, pie socials, funerals,
etc. This is a ministry opportunity for women with a heart
to serve the church by preparing and serving food, working in the
kitchen, helping with set up and clean up for events and decorating.
