SYNOPSIS: The Celebrate Recovery ministry was created to help people overcome and find freedom from life's hurts, habits and hangups through a balanced and engaging program based on Jesus' own teachings. For years, the program has helped people deal with dysfunctional, compulsive and addictive behaviors through the 8 principles from the beatitudes of the New Testament and 12 Biblically-based steps to recovery. This road to recovery leads to healing, serenity, restoration and stronger relationships with God and with others.
For those who want to take recovery to the next level, men's and women's step studies meet every Wednesday at 7PM. Each group works through the steps and principles together using the Celebrate Recovery Participant Guides.
"Creative Arts Ministries" include music, drama, sound and video areas of expression. We are excited about how God uses these gifts and talents to bless others and extend a warm invitation for you to join the family and the fun.
The Choir at Brightmoor The Choir at Brightmoor is a powerful ministry. The choir presents selections from a variety of musical styles. They minister regularly in Sunday services and present concerts and special music for other events throughout the year. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 6:45 PM. Worship Team singers and ensembles are also a part of the Choir ministry. A simple audition is required to join.
The Brightmoor Worship Team is a group of instrumentalists and singers who lead the congregation in worship and accompany our choir. They minister during services and rehearse weekly. Auditions are required for membership. Specific abilities are required for participation on this team.
Instrumental The Brightmoor worship team is a group of instrumentalists who lead the congretation in worship and accompany our choir. They minisier during all services. (Rehearsals are weekly). The Brightmoor Orchestra is an expanded group of orchestral instrumentalists who provide music for special events such as seasonal productions and special concerts. Rehearsals are scheduled as needed. (Auditions are required).
The Creative Arts ministry at Brightmoor currently produces two large-scale, theatrical outreach events each year. "Christmas at Brightmoor" is a Broadway-style musical, "Easter at Brightmoor" presents the story of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. All aspects of theater arts are involved in these productions including stagecraft, costuming, special effects as well as choreography and other visual arts.
This is an extremely important area of ministry because it involves hearing and seeing the Gospel message. This also involves audio and video recording of the services and editing. Great candidates for this ministry have an ear for balance in sound and music or a creative eye for lighting and video. If you like to watch TV, you might like to be involved in this ministry.
Discover a More Meaningful Pace of Life If you crave simplicity and yearn for peace, this group study is for you. Through biblical teaching and practical insights, chip Ingram goes beyond so-called quick fixes. This video curriculum speaks to men and women who know what they need to do, want desperately to do it, but find it next to impossible to break free of the "too many good and important things" that flood their lives.
The thesis is shockingly simple: Spiritual simplicity can only occur when we do less and love more. The time-tested Biblical principles explored in this study fly in the face of long checklists designed to decrease stress and increase productivity. Instead, it will help you experience a shift from complex to simple, from hurried to peaceful, from 'never enough time' to 'time enough for those you love.' Lasting change is within your reach! Take the steps today to learn how to run the race of life at a different, more meaningful speed by focusing on what matters most: LOVE.

From personal experience, Linda Davis explains the most effective types of prayers and shares many testimonies of husbands won to the Lord. She includes the key to understanding an unsaved husband's rejection and hostility. Here is the scriptural way to bring your husband to Jesus. Every time you get your hopes up, they come crashing down - shattering like broken promises. You crumble under the weight of your own disappointment. In despair you cry out to God, "Why don't you do something? I need your help! Will You ever save my husband?" This is the heart wrenching cry of a Christian woman whose husband doesn't know Christ as his Savior and Lord. A great spiritual gulf separates them. It is difficult to agree on day to day decisions, let alone larger questions. Everyday life becomes a lonely and painful existence. Drawing from personal experience and biblical wisdom Linda Davis describes how you can: Be happy in spite of your circumstances; understand your husband's point of view; witness to your husband without saying a word; release your husband to God; Rely on God's perfect timing for your husband's salvation; understand what God means by submission; deal with rejection and hostility; be set free from worry and guilt.

Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak to themselves. All too often, what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls. This women's Bible study encourages women to clean out the junk in their minds and replace hidden negative thoughts with positive truths from God's word. According to Rothschild, what we think about often has a ripple effect on nearly every area of our lives. 7 Weeks / DVD
