
	All Church Workday Saturday, May 3, is the official AllChurch Workday. We will be meeting at 8 AM to work around the church grounds, mulching trees, pulling weeds, planting flowers and much more. Be a part of serving your church!
	Pastor Tom Trask On May 4, Reverend Thomas Trask will be speaking in our Sunday morning services. Pastor Trask was the senior pastor at Brightmoor from 1976 to 1988, before going on to work in the National Office of the Assemblies of God. He served as the Treasurer and then the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God until this past year.
	Memorial Day Weekend On May 25, we will be taking time to honor our military veterans! Please invite those you know who are currently or were previously in the military to come and enjoy a service planned especially for them!
	Living With Purpose What would you like to change about yourself? Would you like to be more confident or more relaxed? Perhaps you would like to be more outgoing, less anxious or less fearful. Where does POWER for change come from? What are the changes God wants to make within you? We will explore Biblical answers to these questions in the series, Living With Purpose. The bottom line is, Jesus Christ offers the power we need to become what he wants us to be. Bring a friend with you next Sunday.

	Baby Dedication Our next Baby Dedication is Sunday, May 11. All families interested are to attend a meeting on Sunday, May 4, at 10:30 AM in the Board Room. Please sign up ahead of time at the Welcome Center.
	Membership Class Our spring Membership Class is Saturday, May 17, from 8 AM-1 PM, in Room 250. All those interested in membership are invited to attend this class taught by Pastor Jamie and Pastor Norm. Please sign up at the Welcome Center. Childcare is available, but you must pre-register.
	Middle Marrieds Join the Middle Marrieds on Friday evening, May 23, for Movie Night - "The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian." Time will be announced soon. Sign up by filling out a Ministry Card at any kiosk in the Lobby or call Renee' Basel at 248.668.7000.
	Young Marrieds On Saturday, May 10, at 4:00 PM, the Young Marrieds Group is hosting the first summer BBQ at Chris and Ashley O'Dell's house. 	College & 20somethings Merge is reaching out! May 17, at 8:30 AM, we are going to the Power Company Kids Club in Pontiac. Come help us serve lunch and hang out with the kids! Sign up here! Also, don't miss our weekly service on Sunday nights at 7 PM in the Chapel on the lower level.
	El Salvador Missions Trip On July 14, a team from Brightmoor will leave for the country of El Salvador on a short-term missions trip. This year, we are excited to work with Convoy of Hope, an organization that does disaster relief and compassion ministries all over the world! Please pray that God uses our team to help change lives. We will receive an offering May 18 to fund the ministry outreach, food and medical distribution and construction projects that our team will participate in. Please pray about giving to this project and help us reach out to the down and out in El Salvador this summer.
	Men's Golf League We are excited to announce the beginning of a golf league for the Men of Brightmoor (MOB). We will be playing at Beacon Hill Golf Club in Commerce Township. The league will take place on Thursday evenings beginning May 15, and continue for 14 weeks. The cost is $25.00 per player per week, which includes nine holes of golf and a cart.
	Bikers of Brightmoor The Bikers of Brightmoor will be going to the Blessings of Bikes at Detroit World Outreach on Saturday, May 10, at 9:30 AM. A Frankenmuth trip is also planned for Saturday, May 24. Please meet at the church office entrance and be prepared to leave by 9:00 AM. We will also be riding on May 2, 16, and 30, which are Friday evenings at 6:30 PM. Please call the church office for more information.
	Water Baptism Baptism Sunday is May 18. The required instructional class is Wednesday, May 14, at 6 PM in Room 250. Please sign up at the Welcome Center.
	The Train Station - Preschool/Daycare Want to earn $50? Beginning immediately, we are implementing a new enrollment incentive. Anyone recommending a new family, who enrolls their child in The Train Station for the summer or fall program, will receive a $50 gas card.
